Early identification of potential development issues is the first step in obtaining supportive and necessary intervention that can help your child. Parents and families that are aware of available services for direct assistance with their children and/or supportive education are the best equipped to address and provide for their child's needs, HTA recognizes that ultimate success of interventions at any age require the active participation of parents/caregivers. Consequently, HTA provides guidance and support to the parents/guardians of all children/students that receive service from our roster of providers.
Entering the Early Intervention Program can be an overwhelming time for you and your child, but we want to help you navigate through the services with the greatest ease possible.
EI services are designed to help your child participate within the natural environment in daily activities tailored to his/her developmental needs. The intervention is family-centered, and your ongoing participation is essential for optimal impact of the services provided.
Accordingly, as parents, you are instrumental in helping create the functional goals to be addressed as documented on his/her IFSP. The ongoing service coordinator (OSC) is responsible to find providers to match the plan on the IFSP.
